There are many ways people can do good. Broad paths to impact include funding effective projects, choosing high-impact careers and making effective decisions about personal consumption, as well as finding better ways to improve the world, influencing others to do more good, and building capacity for future do-gooding. The last three approaches are sometimes referred to as “meta-work” by members of the effective altruist community.
